Having been a working mother I understand how difficult it is for parents to find good quality child care. I feel I have the love, knowledge, experience and qualities needed to provide a warm, loving environment in which children can learn and grow. I believe that children are the most important part of our future, and I will work with you to establish the solid foundation children need to feel secure and to provide stability for their future.
I take my profession as a child care provider, not as a "babysitter", very seriously. You are trusting me with your prized possesion - your child. I do not take that trust lightly.
I have an AA Degree with a concentration in Early Childhood Education and have acheived Level 5 through the Maryland Child Care Credential Program. The Maryland Child Care Credential Program (http://www.marylandpublicschools.org/MSDE/divisions/child_care/credentials) recognizes child care providers who go beyond the requirements of State licensing and registration regulations. It is strictly a VOLUNTARY program. Through this program I am required to take more training each year than what the State of Maryland requires and document additional areas where I've gone above and beyond in my daycare than what is required all of which benefit my daycare, program, children and families enrolled. I will do what I need to in the way of training and workshops to constantly increase my knowledge and skills.
I am also certified in Infant, Child and Adult CPR, First Aid and SIDS training.
I have also been awarded a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential in recognition of outstanding work with young children. The credential was awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington, DC, which represents the early childhood education profession. To find out more about this certificate you can go to http://www.cdacouncil.org/.
